“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.” A quote commonly attributed to Margaret Mead certainly captures the spirit of her studies. Heraclitus said many millennia ago that change is the only true constant.
Both of these famous quotes are correct. Everyone person, place and thing in existence goes through continuous change. And significant shifts don’t simply happen overnight. Change starts small with an idea. The idea is built upon and explored and grows as it accepted by more people. Over time it becomes accepted by society as a whole and suddenly it is an “overnight success.” We know that is not the case. Just because there was not awareness of something doesn’t mean there wasn’t work put into it for years before it became widely accepted.
Why did I open this blog post with two quotes? Let’s start with Heraclitus. If we accept that change is constant then we can embrace it as an opportunity rather than fight it when it doesn’t go our way. There is no way to stop it and to resist it is futile. We should not be afraid to pivot when we need to. Which leads me to Margaret Mead. If we see an opportunity and we strongly believe in it, we should seize it. The only way to affect change is to take action.
That is something TapInfluence did six years ago. They saw that consumers were disengaging from traditional advertising and looking for new ways of consuming information. They also saw that consumers were using social media to share their thoughts with one another. Influencer marketing has been a small piece of many marketers overall mix during the following years.
However, that is changing. With adblocking, we have reached a tipping point. Rather than lament the fact that old methods no longer work, TapInfluence is introducing Influencer Marketing Automation.
I requested the opportunity to record a short video that shares our philosophy. Additionally, we have updated our website to reflect our approach and beliefs. I invite you to check it out www.tapinfluence.com, and specifically our company page where we proudly feature our anchor tenets.
